This was a special commission I worked on back in April for Facebook Dublin, to celebrate the visit of COO Sheryl Sandberg to the Dublin office. I was asked to design a unique print as a gift, to represent her ‘Lean In’ concept in a uniquely Irish way.

The Irish translation, ‘Teann Isteach’, is enhanced by a stylized female figure facing down a bull, using the old legend of Queen Maeve of Ireland as a metaphor for modern female empowerment. The expressive line and traditional use of pen & ink techniques are representative of our lively, creative and rural heritage.

Apparently she loved it!
